| Weather: |
| We are having an Indian Summer the temperatures have been above average most of September. We have had a couple days of rain but otherwise the weather has been great. |
| Plans: |
| We are going to spread some grass seed today. Also, I need to start to clean the vegetable garden. The string beans, zucchini, and basil are finished. I need to trim the strawberries back. |
| Activities: |
| The spinach is doing well and needs to be picked, the snap peas are coming along and I think that I will get a small harvest of them in the next few days. I have cleared the middle section of the driveway as you approach the house (see picture). Today my outside jobs are grass seed, gather more shingles (from the barn roof) for Richard to make kindling and start to clean up the vegetable garden. |
| Miscellaneous Notes & Observations: |
| The yard and garden are looking pretty good. Richard has done a lot of work in back clearing dead wood and cutting down some of the trees to clear the area. This last week Richard has been working on the chokecherry trees along the driveway. |
